We raise money to support SSU students, faculty, staff and community.

We raise money and manage endowments to fund scholarships that directly impact students and grants that allow academic programs and University departments to purchase new technology, conduct research, add or enhance programs and services, and launch initiatives that advance Shawnee State University and its impact to our community.

Gifts big and small make a difference.

Every gift makes an impact at Shawnee State, no matter the size. Major gifts and endowments have helped shape Shawnee State’s future. Annual giving by alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends — whether $10 or $100 annually, help us fund current projects that have an immediate effect on students at Shawnee State. 

 
 

The Shawnee Fund

The Shawnee Fund allows donors to make an annual gift of any size that is put to use immediately to impact today’s students.

Bear Club

Our athletics fans show support of SSU’s 19 intercollegiate teams through donations to the Bear Club. Members receive season ticket admission to all home athletics contests and are listed on the Bear Club Donor Wall in the James A. Rhodes Athletic Center.

Scholarships

Our generous donors are making college possible for students throughout our region through scholarships. When students apply to Shawnee State, they are automatically considered for Development Foundation Scholarships.

Legacy Gifts and Bequests

Through Legacy Gifts, donors provide for our future.

 

We are stewards for the university and its students.

We also steward funds raised through active and mindful management of the endowment, current year funds, real estate, and other valuable gift and grant assets. Our objective is to remain invested for maximum growth while preserving principal and maintaining spending power that will provide stability for generations of future students.
