It’s cool being on the first SSU women’s golf team.
— Victoria Walker, Sophomore

Victoria Walker played golf in high school, but when she came to Shawnee State to study dental hygiene, she had no idea she would get the chance to continue competing at the college level.

This year, Shawnee State expanded its athletics program to include women’s golf, men’s tennis, and men’s and women’s track and field – giving students like Victoria the opportunity to excel inside and outside of the classroom.

These teams join SSU Athletics’ current men’s and women’s basketball, cross country, and soccer; men’s baseball and golf; and women’s softball, tennis and volleyball teams in competing in the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA.
