Get a front-row seat to the roller-coaster life of a Parkinson’s patient.
Written and performed by professional actor and educator Matthew Moore, What I Didn’t Say is a moving, 45-minute theatrical performance that has been praised by audiences all across the United States. Moore plays Paul, a patient recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s, who, along with his wife Marty, must try to navigate the occasional highs and the crushing lows of a neurodegenerative disease that never relents.
Neurologists, therapists, caregivers, and everyone in between will relate to this profoundly honest and compelling story that invites us to ask the hard questions about hope, perseverance, communication, and the staying power of real love.
The performance will be followed by a talkback Q&A session during which the audience is invited to ask questions and express opinions about the play with the actors, medical professionals, and Parkinson’s patients.
This event is presented by The Shawnee State Golden Bears and the Shawnee State Development Foundation and is FREE to attend. Donations for the Portsmouth Area Parkinson’s Support Group and the Shawnee State Development Foundation will be accepted at the entrance.
