Jordan Williams Memorial Scholarship
Supporting full-time baseball student-athletes.
A four-year member of Shawnee State University’s Baseball team, Jordan Williams was a record-breaking pitcher for the Bears. A Biology graduate, Williams was known for his commitment as a mentor and leader not only to his teammates but also to other students on campus. He was a listener, a leader, and helped to connect information not only for himself but for others as well. His ability to be ultra-competitive and generous was and continues to be rare.
The Jordan Williams Memorial Scholarship was created to ensure Jordan’s impact on the Shawnee State Baseball program, the players, and the university will live on. The $1,000 annual scholarship award support full-time baseball student-athletes at Shawnee State University that demonstrate excellence in both academic and athletic pursuit. A preference will be given to those enrolled and pursuing a degree in Natural Science.
The SSU Development Foundation is hosting the Jordan Williams Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 11 to raise money for the scholarship fund. Sponsors, participant teams, and donations are supported in memory of Jordan.
